Fun Places to Explore
by Katherine L. and Morgan

Have you ever been to the Shedd Aquarium, the Art Institute of Chicago, Navy Pier or the Chicago Botanical Gardens?  If you haven’t, then these are the places for you!

Did you know that the Shedd Aquarium uses 300,000,000 gallons of water? That’s more than I use in a month! More than 100,000,000 visitors have gone to the Shedd Aquarium since 1930 when it opened!

Did you know that the Chicago Art Institute has more than 300,000 art works? That’s a lot of paintings!

Navy Pier’s Ferris Wheel is 150 feet tall.  That’s pretty tall!

The Chicago Botanical Gardens has 100,000 plants. That’s way more than my mom has in her garden! Over 800,000 visitors come to the Botanical gardens a
year!

Illinois has a lot of fun and interesting places to visit for people of all ages!
